The Ministry of National Security has firmly denied claims that no officer from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) participated in the alleged abduction of the Emirates Airlines Airport Services Manager in Accra.
In a statement released on November 25, 2024, the Ministry rejected accusations from *The Herald* newspaper, which alleged that security operatives orchestrated the kidnapping.
“No officer from the Ministry or the National Intelligence Bureau participated in Sylvia Baah’s alleged abduction.the statement declared.
Further, the Ministry announced that investigations are ongoing to uncover the details of the incident. It assured the public that anyone found guilty would face full legal action.
“Perpetrators of the alleged abduction will face the full rigours of the law once investigations are concluded,” the statement promised.
Additionally, the Ministry also urged the public to disregard the claims made by *The Herald* newspaper. “We encourage the public to treat these allegations with the contempt they deserve,” it stated.
On November 21, 2024, unknown individuals reportedly abducted Sylvia Patience Baah near her residence on Spintex Road in Accra. The Ghana Police Service successfully rescued her and reunited her with her family.
