The National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) community is deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic death of James Lutterodt, one of the esteemed contestants representing Keta Senior High Technical School in the 2021 finals. James Lutterodt, alongside his teammates Francisca Lamini and Bright Senyo Godzo, showcased their brilliance and emerged third in the prestigious competition two years ago.
In a heartfelt tweet on Monday, the NSMQ expressed their grief and paid tribute to Lutterodt’s remarkable achievements. They acknowledged his significant role in making history as a member of the #NSMQ2021 Keta SHTS team, which brought immense pride to their school and the Volta Region as a whole. It was the first time a school from the Volta Region had reached the NSMQ Final, highlighting the exceptional talent and dedication of the team.
The NSMQ extended their condolences to James Lutterodt’s family during this difficult time. The loss of such a promising young talent is undoubtedly a tremendous blow to both his loved ones and the NSMQ community. James Lutterodt’s passion for knowledge, academic excellence, and intellectual prowess left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of witnessing his participation in the competition.
James Lutterodt was reported dead on Monday, July 3 with further rumours that he was poisoned.
