National Health Insurance Allocate GHC135.6 Million To Hospitals

Written by Sarah Boye

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has announced the release of an additional GHC135.6 million to healthcare providers nationwide.

In a press statement, it explained that this disbursement follows an earlier release of GHC300 million in July to mixed-tier health facilities.

This funding will significantly enhance healthcare services and support across the country. It aims to settle outstanding claims for February 2024 for higher-tier providers and March 2024 for lower-tier facilities, thereby addressing payment gaps and ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of healthcare delivery.

The NHIA recognises the critical role that healthcare providers play in the success of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
