Written by Sarah Boye

The NPP’s Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has promised that nurses will enjoy duty-free importation of vehicles with engine capacities below 1.8 litres if Dr Bawumia wins the presidential election.

Speaking to students at the Korle Bu Nursing and Midwifery Training Institute on October 23, Napo stressed that the NPP values the critical role nurses play in healthcare and assured that a Bawumia-led administration would implement policies to improve their livelihoods.

Further, he also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to maintaining the nursing trainee allowance, warning that the NDC under former President John Mahama would eliminate it if they regained power. Napo urged the nurses to reject the NDC and support Dr. Bawumia and all NPP parliamentary candidates.

Additionally, Napo highlighted the progress of the NPP’s Agenda 111 hospital projects, emphasising that they would enhance healthcare infrastructure and create more jobs for nurses and healthcare workers.
