Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A Plus, the Member of Parliament-elect for Gomoa Central, has disclosed that his late father played a crucial role in his election success.
In an interview with Joy FM, A Plus revealed that just one day before his father passed away, he personally reached out to all the chiefs in the Gomoa Central Constituency to ask for their support in his MP campaign.
“We spoke 30 minutes before I later learned he had been bedridden. After four days in a coma, he woke up and shared that he had experienced death and resurrection, saying he truly understood what it felt like.
Though my father had initially opposed my political views expressed through music, he eventually gave his approval for me to pursue a career in mainstream politics.”
