Gospel artist Empress Gifty has shared that gospel musicians frequently face spiritual attacks before releasing new songs.
During an interview on Adom FM, she explained that these struggles arise because their music is intended to positively impact people’s lives. She noted that those who are not spiritually grounded are especially vulnerable to these attacks, which can cause them to lose focus.
“That’s why some artists, after releasing a song and doing a few interviews, suddenly stop. It’s not their choice. When the attack comes, they lose focus and give up, even though they have a powerful message… It’s not easy,” she said.
She continued,
“Before every new song release, we go through spiritual attacks. Gospel musicians will tell you—it happens because the song is meant to transform lives and bring miracles. If you’re not spiritually strong, the attacks can even make you forget your lyrics.”
