Mohammed Kudus has earned a spot in the 2024 CAF Men’s Best XI after an impressive 2023-2024 season with West Ham United and the Black Stars.
In a video, he received the honor at the 2024 CAF Awards in Morocco, making him the only Ghanaian player included in the team.
Kudus, 24, impressed at West Ham after his move from Ajax Amsterdam, finishing second in the club’s Player of the Year Awards. He scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in 48 matches across all competitions. His spectacular goal against Freiburg in the Europa League has also put him in contention for the FIFA Puskas Award.
On the international stage, Kudus scored twice in his debut Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament and named Man of the Match in both games he played at the 2023 AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
Further, the list also featured prominent players such as Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, Cameroon’s Andre Onana, Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, and the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year, Ademola Lookman.
