Mohammed Abdul-Salam Appointed Acting Director Of NLA

Former Northern Regional Secretary for the National Democratic Congress Mohammed Abdul-Salam has been name Acting Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), effective January 15, 2025.

The appointment was authenticate in a press statement, which highlighted his new responsibility to oversee the authority’s operations in accordance with Article IPS (1) of the Constitution and Section 45(1) of the National Lotto Act, 2006 (Act 7).

This is a temporary position, pending the necessary constitutional advice from the NLA Board and consultations with the Public Services Commission.

His appointment follows the resignation of the former CEO, Sammy Awuku, who stepped down in a letter to President Mahama.
