The Minority in Parliament has invited Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to participate in the debate on Ghana’s 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review, set for Thursday, July 25.
In their press release, the Minority formally invited Bawumia, who leads the government’s economic management team.
“Parliamentary rules permit a sitting vice president to join debates in the House.”
“Given the Vice President’s recent call for a discussion on the economy, this invitation allows him to address and justify his role over the past seven and a half years as Chairman of the Economic Management Team.”
The Minority also announced that they have assembled a team of highly knowledgeable and skilled members to debate Vice President Bawumia.
