The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has published a list of officials impacted by the recall of diplomatic and service passports, as ordered by President John Dramani Mahama.
On Wednesday, January 15, the Office of the President announced the recall of all passports issued under the administration of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The list includes:
– Former ministers and their spouses
– Former Members of Parliament, regardless of political affiliation
– Former Members of the Council of State and their spouses
– Former and retired justices of the Superior and Lower Courts
– Former Regional Ministers, Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives; CEOs of State Institutions; and Board Chairs and Members
– Officials of the National Cathedral Project
– Former political ambassadors and their dependents
– Businessmen and Entrepreneurs
– Religious and Traditional Leaders
– Former Government Functionaries
– Any individuals holding official passports who are not currently serving in an official capacity or do not meet the requirements under sections 6 and 7 of the Passports and Travel Certificates Act, 1967 NLCD 155
