The Ministry of Education has allocated an additional GH₵25 million to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to support its operations and ensure the smooth continuation of the marking process.
In a statement released on Monday, December 23, the ministry’s spokesperson,Kwasi Kwarteng confirmed the funds and assured the public that WAEC is working to release the WASSCE results soon.
“This financial boost is to alleviate WAEC’s financial challenges and speed up the completion of the marking process. The additional funding brings relief to students, parents, and educational institutions, all of whom have been eagerly awaiting the results.”Part of the Statement wrote
The move aims to address WAEC’s ongoing challenges and ensure the timely release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
