The youth of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region has poured out their hearts at the government and mining authorities for preventing them from mining.
After Onua TV have stormed the city with its morning show “Onua Maakye”, the media company engaged the youth in the street to determine their worries and struggles.
Speaking with the media, a young man who is arguably at his early 30s waged that the only hope for survival in Obuasi is gold mining therefore of authorities are preventing them and are not employing to the various mining companies in the town then what kind of job do they want the youth to ascribe to?
In his lamentation, sometimes are being chased off the mining cites by soldiers and other national security persons.
He contjnue to say that the people of Takoradi rely on fish farming and so do Obuasi youth survives on Gold mining.
