Over the weekend, authorities in the Ondo West Local Government Area discovered a middle-aged man named Eric and his unidentified girlfriend dead in a sexual position in their flat.
According to accounts, the cause of their deaths is believed to be electrocution because a generator was running and a phone was charging on the bed, with the woman’s chain perhaps making contact with the socket.
A concerned tenant named Ayo stated that Eric’s relatives, unable to reach him by phone after several days, came looking for him. The family looked through his window and discovered the victims laying lifeless.
SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, spokeswoman for the Ondo State Police Command, verified the event and stated that the couple’s bodies were sent to a local hospital mortuary.
