Highlife artist Kwabena Kwabena has emphasised that men must take responsibility for their partners as a core aspect of true masculinity.
In an interview, he explains that being accountable to one’s spouse is a basic obligation every man should fulfil.
“A man who doesn’t understand he must care for his woman isn’t a man,” he says.
Further, Kwabena Kwabena also rejects the idea of a male-dominated society, arguing that women give the world its meaning. He defines real masculinity not as dominance but as overcoming life’s challenges with strength and perseverance.
“I want to be a man always. Challenges come, and as a man, I rise to fight them—that’s what defines me,” he states.
Additionally, he calls for men to treat women with respect, denounces irresponsible behaviour from men, and urges women to show more empathy for men, who often struggle in silence.
