Martha Ankomah’s GH¢5 Million Defamation Against Lilwin Fails

In the Accra High Court (General Jurisdiction), attempts to reach an out-of-court settlement in a GH¢5 million defamation suit against Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known as Lilwin, have proven unsuccessful.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, during the first session of the 2024-2025 legal year, the plaintiff’s legal team of Martha Ankomah led by Nii Apatu Plange, informed Justice Forson Agyapong Baah that Lilwin was unwilling to settle.

“We submitted our proposals to the intermediary, but he later conveyed that the defendant was not ready for settlement.Hence, we did not reach an agreement.He noted

Further, Justice Baah adjourn the case to November 5, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. and instruct that notices and session notes be convey to Lilwin.

Earlier in July, the court had considered the possibility of an out-of-court settlement, leading to a brief adjournment, but those negotiations have now collapsed.
