Renowned actress Martha Ankomah has clarified misconceptions regarding her decision not to take on a role in Lil Win’s film A Country Called Ghana.
In an interview, She clarified that her decision was misinterpreted, leading to unfounded speculation.
The actress explained that Lilwin Manager, Frank Gharbin approached her with a project unrelated to that film two years ago.
However, she was not interested in a storyline about spirits, though she was open to other projects with Gharbin.
She stated,
“I did not know Gharbin’s reputation in the Kumawood industry before this discussion. He only gave me a verbal summary of the film rather than a script and mentioned an actor unfamiliar to her in Kumawood, leading me to not recognise the project as part of that industry.
I agreed to collaborate with Gharbin on a future film, but they have not been in contact since then.”
Further, Martha added that she would share more information after the court case with Lilwin concludes.
