Police have arrested a man for allegedly smashing the windscreens of several vehicles parked at Parliament on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Reports say the suspect, whose identity remains unknown, used a metal object to break the windscreens as he moved among the parked cars. Security personnel at Parliament quickly intervened and apprehended him on the spot.
As officers arrested him, the suspect said,
“Father, have mercy on them. Daddy, they don’t know what they are doing… It is for your own good.”
Authorities handed the suspect over to the Ghana Police Service, but his motive for the act remains unclear.
