Former President John Dramani Mahama has urged voters to prioritise candidates with proven experience and a strong track record over slogans promoted by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
During a campaign address, he warned against being influenced by slogans like Try me too, insisting that leadership demands competence and results, not rhetoric. “Catchy phrases such as ‘Try me too’ or ‘It is possible’ will not solve Ghana’s challenges,” Mahama stated. “Voters must evaluate candidates based on their experience and ability to lead effectively.”
Additionally, Mahama stressed the need for leaders with a clear vision and practical solutions to address the country’s pressing issues.
“Ghana needs leadership guided by a solid plan, not trial and error. Leaders must understand the challenges we face and have the competence to tackle them,” he added.
Further, he urged voters to make informed decisions by considering candidates’ qualifications and track records before casting their ballots.
