Former president John Mahama, has called on Ghanaians to make an informed choice in the upcoming elections.
Speaking at a rally at Kintampo Presby Park in the Bono East Region, Mahama urges voters to steer clear of candidates he considers inexperienced by aiming at Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing him of exacerbating economic issues while now focussing on igitalization.
Further, Mahama questioned how the country could be led by someone with so little experience, likening Bawumia to a “driver’s mate” learning from a “clueless driver.”
Additionally, Mahama highlighted the contrasts between his previous presidency and the current administration, noting that under his leadership, the economy was more stable and essential goods were less expensive.
He pointed out that while a dollar used to be worth four cedis and a gallon of petrol cost 14 cedis, these figures have significantly increased. He argued that despite the current administration’s claims of progress, voters should learn from past experiences when making their decision.
