President John Dramani Mahama has officially repealed several taxes, including the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy), Betting Tax, and Emissions Tax, by signing new legislation into law.
Speaking at a ceremony at the seat of government on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, he reiterated his administration’s commitment to easing the financial burden on Ghanaians.
“Eliminating these taxes will stimulate economic activity and provide much-needed relief to individuals and businesses,” Mahama stated.
He further reaffirmed his people-centred economic approach, pledging to implement policies that alleviate financial hardships.
