National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment to stabilizing the economy.
Addressing supporters , he pointed to the NDC’s proven track record of managing an economy that works for all Ghanaians. emphasizing that under his leadership, economic stability would lead to lower prices for essential goods such as food and fuel.
“I am committed to leading a team that will stabilize and transform the economy. This transformation will stop the constant price hikes of essential products like fuel, food, and general goods, and ultimately bring prices down.
When the NDC was in power, a bag of cement cost GH₵25, but now it’s over GH₵100. In 2016, fuel cost GH₵14 per gallon, which the NPP deemed too expensive.
Today, it’s over GH₵70. That’s why we will focus on stabilizing the economy, making goods and services more affordable for the people.”
