The National Democratic Congress flagbearer, John Mahama, has pledged to lower data costs and provide free Wi-Fi in all schools across Ghana if elected.

During the youth manifesto launch, he announced and introduced the initiative of using fibre and satellite technologies for public institutions.

Mahama stated,

“We will collaborate with telecom companies to reduce data costs and offer free Wi-Fi in all schools and selected public areas”.

Further, he added the No Fees Stress initiative to support eligible tertiary students through the Students Loan Trust Fund.

According to Mahama, his plans are to enhance access by expanding infrastructure in existing secondary schools and completing the E-blocks.

“I am confident that the NDC will fulfil this promise if you vote me into power to be the next president of Ghana.”
