Mahama Denies Claims Of Ownership Of Defunct Micro Finance

Written by Sarah Boye

Former President John Mahama has denied claims by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that he and his wife, Lordina, owned the now-defunct DKM Micro Finance.

Addressing supporters in Nkoranza North, where DKM was notably active, he accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of falsely linking him and his family to the company. He also noted that Vice President Bawumia had recently met with the individual connected to DKM who supported his campaign.

Additionally, Mahama urged the public to keep in mind that while false accusations can spread, the truth will eventually emerge. He called on citizens to question Bawumia about his connections to DKM and the status of their investments during his visits.

This controversy over DKM Micro Finance became a major political issue leading up in the 2016 election.
