The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has criticised the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration for failing to deliver on its commitment to create jobs for Ghanaian youth.
At a recent campaign rally, Mahama challenged the credibility of Dr. Bawumia’s latest job creation promises, highlighting the struggles of former Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) trainees who remain unpaid for several months.
“The governing NPP promised NABCO trainees jobs after the program, yet over three years have passed without fulfillment. Even the allowances promised during their training remain unpaid,” Mahama said.
In addition ,
“It’s disappointing that these trainees have tried unsuccessfully to get their concerns addressed. If Dr. Bawumia is genuinely committed to youth job creation, he should begin by resolving these issues.”
Mahama’s remarks follow Dr. Bawumia’s recent promise to prioritise youth employment if elected in the December 7 presidential election.
