The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has labelled the surge in youth unemployment as a pressing crisis requiring immediate action.
During an address, he argues that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has failed to address the issue, with the unemployment rate climbing from 8.4% to 14.7% over the past eight years.
Further, he observes that many young people at his campaign events hope for change under an NDC government.
Additionally, Mahama stresses the need to boost the economy and invest in job-creating sectors to provide sustainable employment for the youth.
