John Mahama, the NDC’s presidential candidate, has emphasized the need for a transparent and fair electoral process in Ghana’s December 7 elections.
Expressing some concerns about potential irregularities in an interview with Thomas Naadi of BBC Africa, Mahama made it clear that he would only accept the election results if the process was transparent and fair.
“If election day sees widespread ballot snatching, violence, military intimidation, shootings, and thugs causing chaos, how can I accept such a result? It all depends on the transparency and fairness of the process.”
Mahama’s statement highlights the importance he places on transparency and fairness in determining his position on the 2024 election results.
