The parliamentary candidate for the Mfantsiman constituency, Maame Efua Houadjeto, has been name as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA).
As a former Deputy Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Ms Houadjeto brings her expertise to the role with a strong commitment to advancing tourism by taking over from Akwasi Agyeman with a clear vision to elevate Ghana as a leading sustainable tourism destination.
Under her leadership, Ms. aims to drive growth in the tourism sector by utilising cutting-edge technology, enforcing effective regulation, and ensuring standardisation.
Furthermore, she plans to strengthen partnerships, including multi-agency, public-private, and stakeholder collaborations.
In addition to aggressive marketing and investment promotion, her strategy will focus on improving service quality, safety, and health standards.
The Ghana Tourism Authority, under her leadership, remains committed to sustainability and aims to play a crucial role in creating positive change for society.
