LilWin Court Case Adjourned To June 27

The Asokore Mampong District Court granted actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as Lil Win, GHC50,000 bail with two sureties after his arrest on Monday, June 3, by officers from the Manhyia Divisional Command’s Motor Traffic and Transport Department .

His arrest happened after his hospital discharge following a recent accident that killed a three year-old boy while on his way to his movie ‘A Country Called Ghana, which premiered at CBS, KNUST.

At the court, the prosecutor informed the jury , the case was still under investigation and demanded that Lil Win make himself available whenever required.

Margaret Adjei-Twum, Lil Win’s lawyer, on the other hand, argued for bail, noting her client had injuries, including internal bleeding, and required treatment. She further assured the court that Lil Win, who is a popular personality in the country, would not avoid the proceedings.e

The court charged Lilwin with unsafe driving and carelessly inflicting harm and has postponed the case until June 27, 2024.
