The Inspector General of the Liberian National Police, Gregory O. W. Coleman, has praised the Ghana Police Service’s transformation under the leadership of Dr George Akuffo Dampare during a visit to the police headquarters in Accra.

Addressing individuals present, Mr Coleman highlighted that Dampare’s exemplary leadership serves as a blueprint for him and his counterparts on the continent.

“Your leadership inspires me and many others on the continent. You have shown that one person can indeed make a difference despite the challenges they face.
I’m proud to have you as a mentor and hope that we can impact society as much as you have done,” Coleman remarked calling him an inspiration to police leaders across Africa.

Further, he thanked Dampare and his team for their warm reception and praised their success in establishing the Ghana Police Service as a benchmark for other countries in Africa and beyond.

He noted the Ghana Police Service’s strong reputation and expressed eagerness to learn from their experiences as the Liberia National Police strives to transform its own law enforcement institution.

In response, IGP Dr George Akuffo Dampare warmly welcomed the visiting team and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting cooperation and collaboration among the region’s law enforcement agencies, emphasising the importance of sharing best practices in policing.
