Premier League newcomers Leicester City have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew for £8 million.
In a statement on the club’s website, Ayew expressed his excitement, saying,
“I’m very happy and proud to be here. I want to thank the club for their efforts in bringing me here—it happened quickly, and I’m thrilled to join. When a manager shows interest in you, it motivates you to work under him and improve. Despite being 32, I’m eager to keep learning and contributing. I’m here to work hard and help the team reach their goals.”
During his time with the Eagles, Ayew made 212 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing 21 assists.
Reports indicate that The Foxes secured Ayew’s services from Crystal Palace for £8 million, with the player agreeing to a two-year contract.
