Naa Amanua Dodoo, the legendary Ghanaian traditional singer best known for her work with the Wulomei band, has passed away.
The shocking news was confirm on social media by renowned Highlife musician Rex Omar and Chairman of GHAMRO who shared a tribute saying, “R.I.P. Naa Amanua of Wulomei fame.”
Naa Amanua began her music career in the 1960s and became a prominent advocate for women’s rights, using her powerful voice and music to promote social change.
The singer captivated audiences with her unique ability to weave traditional stories into her songs, earning a place as one of Ghana’s most iconic artists.
