On Good Friday, April 7,2023, the University of Professional Studies, Accra [UPSA] hosted the largest Ghanaian Gospel musical, Harvest Praise.
Every Good Friday since 1998, Harvest International Ministries (HIM) has hosted Harvest Praise, a yearly gospel music outreach event.
This year’s festival, dubbed the “Silver Jubilee Edition” to mark the 25 years since the festival’s founding, featured performances by American great Don Moen, Moses Bliss, The Harvest Praise Choir, and others who enchanted the crowd with their resonant and seductive vocals.
As it was their chance to perform, each musician displayed their skill in worship and praise, getting the crowd to stand the entire time.
Don Moen, a legendary Grammy Award winner, takes a break from singing his massive hit song “God is Good” to engage with the crowd.
The renowned American singer identified Ghana as the entry point to Africa when discussing the struggles he had before being accepted into this year’s concert.
“Ghana is the doorway to Africa, and it was no mistake when I finally came here,” he said.
God is merciful.
The iconic singer, 72, played some of his songs for over an hour while dressed in a blue tuxedo over a white long sleeve shirt.
