Lazio has dismissed falconer Juan Bernabe after he posted explicit images and videos of himself on social media following an implant surgery.
Report indicates that Lazio dismiss Bernabe, who has flown the club’s eagle, Olimpia, at Stadio Olimpico since the 2010-11 season, after the club expressed being aghast by the content.
The club stated that it was “impossible” to associate their historic eagle symbol with such behaviour, despite acknowledging that fans would miss the eagle during upcoming home matches.
In response, Bernabe defended his actions during an interview with Radio24, explaining that he intended to raise awareness about the procedure.
“The images I convey on my private social media account, stated that “nudity is normal,” as I was raise in an accepting, naturist family”
This latest controversy follows a previous suspension in 2021, when Lazio discipline Bernabe for performing a fascist salute after a match against Inter Milan.
