Laryea Kingston, the former head coach of Ghana’s U-17 team, revealed that he resigned due to an “unhealthy environment.”
In a recent interview, he explained,
“This isn’t about running away. It highlights the importance of working hard consistently, not just when people are watching. After I resigned, the emails started pouring in.” He stressed that the toxic atmosphere played a significant role in his decision to step down.
Kingston left his position following the Black Starlets’ failure to qualify for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, having been eliminated in the semifinals of the WAFU B U-17 tournament held in Accra earlier this year.
