Kurt Okraku Submits Nomination For CAF Executive Seat

Written by Sarah Boye

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has officially submitted his nomination to run for a seat on the CAF Executive Committee.

Reports suggest that he will be unopposed in the race for the position representing WAFU Zone B, marking a key milestone in his career.

The elections, scheduled for March, will feature Okraku as one of the leading candidates for the role.

In 2021, Okraku withdrew from the CAF Executive Committee race to foster unity within WAFU Zone B, allowing Djibril Hamidou, President of the Niger Football Association, to run unchallenged and secure the seat.

However, with Hamidou now reportedly seeking a position on the FIFA Council, Okraku now has a clear opportunity to claim the CAF seat.
