GFA President Kurt Okraku had congratulated 22 Ghanaian referees who received FIFA badges for the 2025 football season at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) headquarters in Accra on January 21, 2025.

During the ceremony, he praised their role as ambassadors for Ghanaian football, saying,

“Your performances have earned the trust of CAF and FIFA. This recognition reflects your dedication and excellence,” and encouraged them to continue striving for greater success.

FIFA awards badges each year to top-ranked referees based on their performance in the previous year and their results in the FIFA Test. This year’s recipients include 10 centre referees, 10 assistant referees, one futsal referee, one beach soccer referee, and one video assistant referee (VAR).

Of the 22 officials, 12 are male and 8 are female, highlighting Ghana’s growing representation in international officiating.
