Ghanaian highlife artist Kuami Eugene recently criticised Joyce Blessing’s promotion of her song “Victory” during an interview with Hitz FM.
Speaking on the Daybreak Hitz show, he stated that with more effort, the song could have gained greater exposure. He contrasted her approach with that of Empress Gifty, who, according to him, has shown more dedication in promoting her song “Watch Me.”
“I love Auntie Joyce, but she didn’t give the song the same attention Empress is giving hers. Empress has taken it personally, promoting it everywhere and with everyone. Joyce pushed the song when it started going viral, but after December, she stopped,” he said.
Further, Kuami Eugene highlighted Empress Gifty’s relentless efforts to maximise the song’s potential.
“It’s been almost a month, and Empress hasn’t slowed down. She’s been everywhere, from Kumasi to the Eastern Region, and we can all learn from that.”
