TV3 New Day recently hosted a captivating interview with the talented Afrobeats musician, Kelvyn Boy, where he passionately expressed his excitement and heartfelt gratitude for the growing recognition of African music at the prestigious Grammy Awards. The rising star’s enthusiasm was palpable as he discussed the significant strides African music has made on the global stage.

Kelvyn Boy, renowned for his infectious Afro-fusion sound and captivating stage presence, commenced the interview by acknowledging the exponential growth and acceptance of Afrobeats music worldwide. He emphasized that African music has evolved into a powerful force that transcends borders, connecting people from diverse backgrounds.

“There was a time Afrobeats was added to the thing but it doesn’t necessarily have to be me but the fact that Africa is there that’s it,” he disclosed.

kelvyn Boy also took the opportunity to reveal his upcoming projects which could also land him a nomination in the Grammys in the future.

He announced that his highly anticipated EP will be released on July 16, featuring tracks like “Vero.” which is currently enjoying massive airplay.

Titled “For the Culture” with a K, the EP , he said is an ode to Ghanaian culture and his commitment to incorporating African culture into his music.
