The transfer of Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana from Southampton to Ajax Amsterdam has reportedly fallen through, as revealed by Italian football insider Fabrizio Romano on X (formerly Twitter).
Although Sulemana agreed on personal terms with Ajax, the move remains unfinalized. However, If the transfer had gone through, it would have ended Sulemana’s underwhelming period at Southampton, where he arrived from Stade Rennes.
In his 18 Premier League appearances for Southampton, he scored twice and registered one assist but missed all three of the club’s matches in the 2024-2025 season due to injury.
Last season, he played in the EFL Championship. His injury also led to his exclusion from the Black Stars squad for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger this month.
