Vice President Kamala Harris made her first public appearance since President Joe Biden announced he would not seek re-election in 2024.
In her remarks, kamala praised Biden and expressed deep gratitude for his service to the nation.
Reports has it that,kamala’s campaign has gained significant momentum since Biden’s decision, with increased support and a surge in donations from leading Democrats. However, some key Democratic figures still have not endorsed her.
Biden has chosen to remain in office for the rest of his term despite growing pressure to step down.
In response, former President Donald Trump and other Republicans have criticised the situation, with Trump stating, “If he can’t run for office, he can’t run our country.”
Later today, Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, will make his first solo campaign appearance with a speech in Ohio.
