The presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has committed to implementing a comprehensive economic recovery plan if elected on December 7.
While addressing young people in the northern regions, Mahama explicitly held the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) accountable for the country’s economic crisis, accusing them of eight years of mismanagement.
He stressed that the NPP’s policies have exacerbated financial hardships, particularly for the youth, who are grappling with rising unemployment, stagnant wages, and diminishing economic opportunities.
Mahama identified inflation, unsustainable debt, and a weakened currency as the primary factors contributing to widespread frustration and hopelessness among Ghanaians.
“The NDC will fix the economy, I understand why you have lost hope after these eight years, but as your former president and your future leader, I urge you not to give up on this country. You are like my own children, and I truly believe Ghana will rise again.”Mahama declared
Through his message, Mahama instilled a sense of hope, resilience, and renewal, directly addressing the increasing frustrations of the nation’s youth.
