James Gardiner Opens Up About Struggles Gaining Support

Written by Sarah Boye

Ghanaian actor James Gardiner has discussed his struggles with gaining support from acquaintances towards his business.

In an interview with Doreen Avio, Gardiner revealed that the anticipated backing did not come from those close to him.

He clarified that he was not blaming anyone but was expressing his frustration about the lack of support for his pub.

“I wasn’t calling anyone out; I am simply voicing my frustration about the lack of support for my pub, I’ve realised that often it’s not family but strangers who help a business succeed. I just hoped for more support from those around me. Starting a business in Ghana is challenging, and it’s disheartening to invest without seeing returns. We’re now in our fourth year, and it has been very tough.”

He also noted that his comments were meant to release pent-up feelings and address the negative feedback he had received.
