Ghanaian musicians have called on government to shun the extensive investment it has been fueling in sports and turn to the entertainment industry.
Speaking on Hitz Fm, highlife singer Dada Hafco has lamented that the government has been putting much money into sports but there hasn’t been any better results.
He continue to say that The people who are appointed in leadership are not doing the lobbying for the music industry.
“The government knows that the entertainment arena is not functioning properly but the people to lobby for us are not doing their job” he said.
He ascertain that if the amount of money pumped into the sports ministry is rechanneled into the music turf, there would be a great income.
“Imagine if we pump money into the entertainment arena… Imagine what we can do with it. Almost every artist is funding themselves” he added.
