Ghanaian dancehall and Afrobeats star Shatta Wale has called on President John Dramani Mahama to introduce reforms aimed at improving Ghana’s entertainment industry.
In a Facebook post on January 13, 2025, he urged the president to make changes that would attract more professionals to sectors like radio and television.
Shatta Wale wrote,
“Letter to our new President of Ghana. I hope President John Dramani Mahama can reform our music industry to bring more professionals to radio and television. The entertainment sector needs this change. The younger generation shouldn’t face the same challenges many of us did. My hope is for future generations to see the music industry as a real career, not just a hobby.”
