Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture Mark Okraku Mantey disclosed that the music industry rejected the government’s proposal to establish a new recording studio for artists.
At the Entertainment Creative Arts Forum, Okraku Mantey explained that the 2020 manifesto promised an ultra-modern studio where musicians could record at reduced rates, but the government has not fulfilled this promise by 2024.
He reveal that, the industry divided on the proposal.
While some supported it, more opposed it. He noted that the industry preferred to allocate funds elsewhere, as many already had functional studios. .
