Written by Sarah Boye

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare urged political parties to collaborate with the police to ensure peaceful elections this year.

In a meeting with political party representatives in Accra on Thursday, November 21, Dr Dampare stressed the need to prepare for both victory and defeat, acknowledging that only one party can emerge victorious.

He declared,

“As long as everyone fulfils their role, Ghana will win.” He assured the parties that the police are ready to maintain law and order before, during, and after the elections, but called for support from all stakeholders, including the political parties.
