Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Dr George Akuffo Dampare has assured the public that the police service is ready to maintain law and order throughout the election process.
Speaking at the Electoral Commission headquarters in Accra, Dr Dampare disclosed that the police are fully ready to work diligently to ensure peace throughout the election period.
Additionally, the IGP urged all stakeholders to remain calm as the Electoral Commission addresses any challenges that may arise. He emphasised,
“We encourage everyone to operate within the law and allow us to do our work within the law. At the end of it all, Ghana will be the beneficiary.”
