Nigerian singer Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed professionally known as Bella Shmurda in a recent interview has stated that there was a point in his career where he wished fellow Nigerian musician and CEO of YBNL Nation Olamide signed him.
Bella Shmurda broke into the limelight in 2020 with his smashed single titled ‘Vision 2020’ and later had Olamide on the remix.
Talking about some challenges he has faced as an artiste, Bella Shmurda said “at a point I wished Olamide signed me because everything was rough for me. I don’t know who to really ask (for help) and nobody to really put me through.”
He also expressed concerns on how he has missed a lot of activities and concerts he believes he should be on but because there is nobody to vouch for him. “There was this festival that went on, Afro Nation and I was supposed to be there. You know, I am also a big artiste in Nigeria and I am not there because nobody came through for me. Even though I have bigger hits than some of them that went to Afro Nation.”
However, the young artiste fells he is better now than previous because he has gained some knowledge from past experiences.
“At least, I know somethings now that if I had known then, I think I will be better off”
Bella Shmurda is arguably one of the biggest artistes in Nigeria making it from the street to attaining stardom in the music industry.
