The flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has shared concerns about Akuffo-Addo’s potential reluctance to transfer power if re-elected.
Suggesting that the current administration might resist relinquishing control in the event of a change in leadership.
Mahama argues that Akufo-Addo fears an NDC administration would expose his alleged corrupt actions in a Facebook post.
He wrote,
“President Akufo-Addo will resist handing over to me because John Mahama will not cover up his legacy of mismanagement, corruption, and the suffering inflicted on Ghanaians.”
This assertion follows Akuffo-Addo previously stating that he cannot transfer power to someone he has defeated in two elections.
