Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, popularly known as Camidoh, has expressed his willingness to work with political parties solely for business purposes.
In a recent interview on the Afternoon Show on TV3, the hitmaker stated that while he won’t endorse any political party, he is open to performing at their campaign rallies if called upon.
Camidoh explained that he isn’t concerned about the perception of artists being linked to politicians for business transactions.
“Over the years, people try to put fear in artists, saying you are for this political party and all that. I don’t care about that. Who you want to vote for is your choice; I can’t tell you to vote for somebody,” he said.
He further emphasized his stance, stating, “
I probably will not endorse a political party, but I will work, make music, and perform at their rallies. If I perform for the NPP today and the NDC offers the same amount for a performance, I will do it. I am a musician.”
